We made it!

We made it safely-26 hours total. A 10 hour delay in London took the wind out of our sails, but we are here and enjoying ourselves.
We got pre wedding paperwork taken care of this morning (US Consulate, police station and Italian Town Hall). We roamed around Florence for awhile and then had lunch in a great little family owned restaurant. Our waitress was from Des Moines, Iowa and had just recently married into the family. Iowans are everywhere!

Kim and Bryan said...: Ciao! Glad to hear you made it okay - a 10-hour delay...yikes! But hey, you were in London, it couldn't have been that bad, right? I would be curious to know what time you arrived, only because I am certain it was probably about the same time the 300 lb. overhead cabinet you gave us came crashing down off our wall, with some of the wall, in our office on Sunday evening. It was quite scary...but everyone was okay, the floor only got a scratch (unbelievable!) and the only main damage was to one of the file cabinets. I believe it must have been a sign that you had arrived safely and that your exciting journey was about to begin! What do you think about that? Crazy, maybe, but I like it. :)
