How we met

No surprise to most, but we were not the sharpest crayons in the box, or tool in the shed, whatever way you want to look at it. It seemed to take us awhile to figure out that us together just might be a good thing. Thank goodness for good friends and common interest that we both seemed to show up at the same place enough times that we thought we might try it out on our own. We could probably raise a glass to Willie Nelson and a little “Whiskey River” too, since that seemed to be the turning point. Although, don’t ask Brian for details, he has a hard time remembering. We should absolutely thank our dear friends Dan and Sara Goodrich. It seemed to be their parties and continued chance meetings that we finally figured it out, after about three years.

We only had a few months of dating behind us and Brian was offered an opportunity in Boise, ID that he just didn’t think he should pass up. Brian moved over in April of 2004 and after obtaining his MVP status with Alaska Airlines, Kara decided to follow in November 2004. We have been getting settled and making a home here in Boise and adjusting well.
