About Kara

Kara was born and raised in Davenport, Iowa, one of the Quad Cities located on the Iowa/Illinois border. She went to college at the University of Northern Iowa and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Design and Human Environment (Interior Design).

She moved to Portland in 1997 and fell in love with the Pacific Northwest. Kara’s favorite things in life are spending time with friends and of course her dog Lucy. In her spare time she loves to shop (she made it her mission to find all of the great places in Boise the first month), practice pilates, knit and shower her nieces, nephews and friends with handmade gifts. Kara is extremely outgoing and loves to try new things. She loves to snowboard in the winter and hike and bike in the summer.

After taking some time off and getting settled in Boise, she is looking forward to getting back to work in a career that challenges her and expands her incredible creativity.
